About Owner.com

Owner is the AI growth system for local restaurants. Our AI continuously improves SEO, marketing, and online ordering to grow first-party orders. Unlike other companies that force small business owners to master their software to drive sales, Owner gives them a proven system run by experts.

Owner is like having an army of engineers and marketers on your side, just like the big chains.

Why we're looking for you

Media has been an unfair advantage for Owner as we've scaled to over a billion dollar valuation. Our YouTube and Instagram channels are category leaders. We've become the #1 voice in restaurant growth, and our channels regularly get over 5 million organic impressions per month.

We are using best practices we've learned from organic media to help level up every function at our company with Media. As Owner scales, every team across the company needs video that performs at the same level as our external content. Sales needs demo walkthroughs and case studies that close deals. Product needs launch videos that land with customers and internal stakeholders. Recruiting needs culture content that wins candidates against the biggest tech companies. Leadership needs sharp all-hands recaps and investor-ready presentations.

The Internal Video Editor is one of our early hires that will help own this function as we build a dedicated Media team. You'll own end-to-end editing for internal video projects across the company. The formats are varied: sales enablement videos, product launch announcements, customer case studies, recruiting sizzle reels, training content, and executive presentations.

We want editors with strong opinions about their craft. People who nerd out about sound design, pacing, and how to make a product demo feel as compelling as a documentary. You'll get real creative ownership here, not template-based assembly work.

The feedback loop is fast: you edit, it ships, you hear from the teams using it, you learn what worked, and you iterate.

This role is based in San Francisco, California.

The impact you'll have

  • Produce multiple long-form internal video projects per month, with varying timelines and levels of complexity. You'll own end-to-end editing from raw footage to final publish-ready asset, including color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and B-roll integration.
  • Optimize for clarity, engagement, and storytelling. Every cut, transition, and visual beat should be intentional.
  • Build and maintain editing SOPs and templates. Create repeatable processes so the team can scale and new members can ramp quickly.
  • QC vendor and contractor edits. Review first-cut edits from external partners, write revision notes, and ensure every video meets brand standards before publishing.
  • Report on video performance when posted on socials or external platforms. Track views, watch time, completion rates, and engagement per video.

Who you'll work with

  • Report directly to Chief of Staff to the CEO and VP of Media
  • Partner closely with the Platform Managers and external-facing editors to maintain brand consistency across all Owner video
  • Work with external production partners (videographers, agencies, freelancers) whose output you'll help QC and integrate
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Sales, Product, and Recruiting who need video assets

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong storytelling and visual craft
  • Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Experience editing internal, corporate, or B2B video content
  • Proficiency in color correction, audio enhancement, and sound design
  • Experience with motion graphics, kinetic typography, and basic animation techniques
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Clear communicator who can take creative direction from non-video stakeholders and articulate editorial choices
  • Curiosity around AI-driven tools, automation, and new media workflows

Pay and benefits

The estimated base salary range for this role is $70K-$90K, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package. Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, remote-first workplace, and unlimited PTO.
